Alix Breiling has been an enormous gift to our household. Our 7-year-old daughter has struggled academically and developmentally for several years, and has had many lovely professionals helping her along the way. But none have won her heart like Alix. Alix is incredibly professional: she is always prepared with a variety of activities that gently challenge and stretch our daughter. She coordinates seamlessly with our daughter's school activities so that the work reinforces things she is learning elsewhere. She knows when to push and when to move on to a different activity. But more important than any of that, she is developing our daughter's confidence and competence in ways that are delightful to see. When we told our daughter that she would get to see "Ms. Alix" twice a week over the summer instead of once, our daughter squealed and jumped up and down. That may be the best testimony we can give. We're convinced that "Ms. Alix" has a special brand of magic and we're so thankful for it.

I hired Alix to help my daughter avoid the "summer slide" in reading. She was quickly able to find my daughter's strengths and weakness. She then created sessions that were both enjoyable and met our immediate skill building needs. Not only did my daughter completely avoid any so called "summer slide", she was able to greatly improve her reading skills throughout the summer. Most importantly she loved going to all of her sessions with Alix, so much so, that we decided that it was best to continue Alix's services into the school year. I highly recommend Alix!

Alix is warm, fun and knowledgeable. She engages my son in reading and math skills. Her sessions are interactive and fun. He looks forward to working with Alix.
